Ian Peacock
Ian is a qualified English teacher, with a PGCE from Cambridge University. An award-winning broadcaster, he runs the BBC's Writing for Radio course and contributes to Radio 4's language programme Word of Mouth. He has broadcast on all the national BBC networks and the World Service and written for national publications including The Times. Ian's writing is quoted in a new A-Level English textbook, endorsed by the largest of the English language exam boards AQA. The authors refer to his 'lively, informal narrative style.' He has taught language skills to many non-English clients, from BBC World Service reporters to ambassadors in Thailand.
Kathleen Griffin
Kathleen teaches Broadcast Media Skills at Brighton University. She previously taught English and communication skills to French businessmen and students at ESSEC in Paris (the French equivalent of Harvard Business School). She is also an award-winning broadcaster, having produced and reported for many programmes on BBC Radio 4, including Woman's Hour, You and Yours and The Learning Curve. She has had several books published and has written for many newspapers and magazines, such as The Times, The Guardian, and She. Kathleen's mother is French and she was brought up in both cultures. She also speaks fluent Spanish.
